Craft over clout
Bagora began with a simple frustration: bags that cost a month's salary and fell apart in a year. We set out to make the opposite — pieces plain enough to carry every day and built well enough to still be worth carrying in a decade.
Our craft
Every piece is cut, skived, stitched and edge-painted in one atelier. Edges take three passes by hand. Stress points are double-stitched. Hardware is solid brass, never plated zinc.
We buy full-grain hides from two tanneries we have worked with for a decade — full-grain because it is the only cut that improves with age rather than peeling.
Sustainability
The most sustainable bag is the one you do not replace. We repair our stitching and hardware free, for life, for anyone who owns one of our pieces — first owner or fifth.
Our vegan Alter-Nappa line is finished in the same atelier by the same hands, because a vegan material is not an excuse for a lesser object.
